2nd HOA Community Workday – Saturday, June 28th, 2014
HOA Community Workday / Saws and Slaws Event: Saturday, June 28th from 8AM to Noon with a Potluck BBQ to follow. Building on the success of last year’s Community Workday / Saws and Slaws Event, we will once again come together as neighbors and friends to mitigate the forests. This year’s 2nd Event will focus on helping homeowners in the HOA mitigate their Defensible Space (D-Space) Zones 1 and 2. We will meet at the intersection of Cougar Run and Conifer Rd at 8AM for our organizational and safety meeting. At this meeting, we’ll form teams and be assigned areas to mitigate. Teams will be dropping marked trees only, limbing the trees, bucking the logs in 4′ lengths, and staging the slash along the roadway for pickup during our Curbside Slash Chipping Program. We will work until noon and then meet at a host home (to be announced at the event) for a potluck lunch/BBQ. That’s it, 4 hours of work followed by a well deserved BBQ lunch.
